- If you decide to go ahead your rug will be collected from your home and taken back to our special Persian rug cleaning headquarters.
- After an initial inspection to decide the best course of action, your rug will be dusted and vacuumed to remove as much engrained dirt and debris as possible.
- Your rug will then be carefully but thoroughly washed using Envirosafe to remove as many stains and odours as possible and protect against bacteria and viruses.
- It will then be fully dried using air-movers, before being brushed and groomed back to perfection. This may include tassel detangling and trimming.
- If needed, your Persian rug can be repaired and rewoven, restoring them to their former glory.
- Protection against future stains and odours can be applied if required.
- Your rug will be carefully delivered back to your home in protective wrapping as soon as it’s done.

What the Cleaning Service Involves
- Your rug is collected from your home, it is best that Oriental rug cleaning takes place in a specialised facility where it can be cared for properly.
- A full, in-depth inspection of your rug is carried out by the Master Rug Cleaner Captain Rug Wash himself to decide the best plan of action.
- A dusting machine is first of all used to vibrate out the soil trapped deep in the pile of your Oriental rug and then vacuumed.
- The rug will then be submerged in a cold water cleaning pit and washed with shampoo with rotary brushes to help gently remove and stubborn trapped dirt.
- Your Oriental rug is then rinsed thoroughly to remove any traces of cleaning product and remaining dirt.
- Excess water will be removed using a spinning machine or specialised extractor before your rug is thoroughly dried in a temperature-controlled drying room with dehumidifiers and air movers.
- You will be offered a range of optional post-treatments to help protect your rugs such as fibre protection, moth repellent, rug repair, fringe trimming or the addition of a non-slip rug pad.
- Once dry your rug is protectively wrapped before being delivered back to you.
